That’s an alarming statement. Tying tariffs and global security to the forced purchase of another country’s territory crosses into very dangerous territory. Economic pressure and sovereignty threats don’t protect peace, they destabilize it

That’s huge, and honestly very worrying. A 10% hike moving to 25% in just a few months will hit consumers hard and push prices up across the board. And you’re absolutely right about the EU part targeting one country is basically targeting the whole union.

New tariff just dropped.

Americans set to pay an additional 10% tax on all goods from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

It starts in two weeks, rising to 25% by June.

(Aside: A trade war with one EU country is a trade war with the entire EU).

Regardless of one’s views on Musk, no individual should have unchecked power over public institutions that serve millions. This situation underscores the need for clear safeguards to prevent private interests from undermining democratic governance.

It’s deeply concerning to see an unelected businessman exerting such influence over government agencies, especially in ways that disrupt operations and raise serious questions about accountability

Water management is always a tricky issue, but it seems short-sighted to release that much water during the wet season without a clear plan for storage or distribution. Do you know if there’s a reason they couldn’t divert it for better use?

I’ve heard a lot of theories about the election, but that’s a new one for me. What’s the evidence?

They will go after Wikipedia.

They will go after libraries.

They will go after school boards and public extracurricular activities that are anything but sports.

They will go after archives.

Because knowledge, education, culture, and progressives are all the enemy.

Thinking is the enemy.
