The bearings in the bottom bracket of the blade/motor needed lubrication! (Also extremely cool to see the motor parts separate. Electricity is magic.)

Fixed our lil decade old fan today. :) Feels nice to save some money and a big piece of plastic from an early landfill grave.
Could hear the motor getting power, but nothing was moving, and Ollie couldn’t “kickstart” it like he used to (this was a hint as to what was wrong.)

Also, side note: It's clear to me you've got a really respectful perspective on this when it comes to trans men.
There'll never really be a collective agreement between trans folks here. I'd hate to be excluded from language used for cis men, via assumption, bc I'm trans. Familiarity helps! 💛

I think the key here is trying to use familiar language with people you're already familiar with, cis or trans.
That makes it sooo much easier for me to math out the intentions and decide if I need to talk to someone or not haha.

Honest to god, as a trans guy, "honorary girl" is so weirdly affirming any time I think about it lol.
Strictly speaking for me; it's all about framing. Most of my friends are guys, and if I was invited to a girls space as "the guy who can hang" and not "the guy who was a girl" I'd be stoked haha.
