Poor Republicans! Yesterday they saw how their policies are killing them with the public. Trump wants them to use the nuclear option to end the shutdown. Most Americans want what the Dems are holding out for. Deny healthcare and end the filibuster? Good lord what will happen after the midterms?!!

Democrats need to hold strong against Trump and the GOP. Their actions of using the government trying to force the Democrats to fold on their demands for ending the shutdown are punishing Americans. Next thing you know, Trump will have Noem holding a gun to a puppy’s head.

Someone should do some investigative journalism checking to see how many of the folks detained and deported by DHS are actually violent criminals. Many MAGAs justify the DHS crimes with the idea that this is useful and is ridding the U.S. of violent criminals. Is it even remotely true?

No negative thing is ever Trump’s fault, and one of the “highest” purposes of people on his team, directly or peripherally, is to serve as scapegoats. That is why so many of them have suffered losses of jobs, reputation, money, etc.

Non violent protest can work, if the media covers it. The tide turned for the Civil Rights movement when cops attacking peaceful protesters with police dogs and fire hoses made the evening news. It’s easy to be angry at Trump supporters. Many of them are deluded, but still know right from wrong.

I’ve seen media showing Trump voters unhappy with the detainment and deportation of immigrants who are their friends or whose work they need. Were some of these voters personally hurt by undocumented people before November, or did they just think mass deportation sounded good?

The “deporting” or trafficking of young U.S. citizens with their immigrant parents may be happening with the desire to end up in court. Perhaps it is another avenue to attack birth right citizenship?

Trump may have gotten the El Salvadoran President Bukele to cooperate with Trump’s kidnappings and imprisonments in part by offering him people like Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Abrego Garcia is Salvadoran and received U.S. asylum because it was deemed too dangerous for him to go back.
