I've been thinking a lot about how metal and hardcore punk have become kinda inseparable in the mainstream. There are absolutely metal diehards and punk diehards that play very traditional forms of both genres, but if you're listening to modern "metal," there is no separating it from hardcore.

Today is the tenth anniversary of Firewatch's release. It remains the thing I'm most proud to have worked on. I think one of the FOSS community's (or maybe just software in general) biggest weaknesses is the line between "being upset" and "being an asshole" is so blurred. You can be justifiably mad and still be a fucking grown up about it.
