A new landscape painting to finish the year, this one is a scene from the top of a set of steps that lead down to a beach and in the distance is Ravenscraig Castle which is in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Image size is 18cm by 8cm but it is on a piece of paper approx 30cm by 20cm. The cost is £60 plus postage.

Painting, in the distance a castle sits surrounded by trees and grass, closer to us tree branches and leaves obscure the view.

Two years ago I made a very simple comic exploring this idea. One year ago I redid it with more finesse.

This is the colour version of an ink #sketchaday I did in October, scanned, blown up, printed on 8.5x11” art paper, so I can play with the colour details. However, I have a thing tonight, so WiP. 🫢💜💜💜😊

A marker WiP of the Monarch of Hares and their entourage of poppy-covered hares. The original ink drawing was scanned and enlarged, then printed on 8.5x11” art paper.
The Monarch is in the center, a soft beige (will be white) hare with jewelry adornments and a poppy crown and poppy wreath of office, and poppies draped around their body.
On either side are two poppy-patterned hares, for a total of four in the Monarch’s entourage. Only the poppies on the side hares have colour so far.
From L-R: (All the hares are seated on their hind legs, front legs straight, so they are sitting up, not lying down.) A hare facing left, seated, front legs raised. A hare with seated body facing left, head facing right. The Monarch hare, seated, facing the viewer. A hare facing left, seated, with hind legs slightly raised, eye looking right. A hare facing and looking right, seated, with one front paw lifted.
Below the hares, hand-drawn lettering says “The Monarch of all Hares & Their Entourage”. At the end of the lettering on the right is a martini glass with a bright orange drink with a full carrot for garnish, and to the right of the glass is curly lettering saying “Club Night!”.
The background is a gold velvet curtain in the club.
Clearly, the Monarch and their mates are in the VIH (Very Important Hares) section, and the rightmost hare is telling another hare they can’t come in.

A pipe cleaner figure I built of a monster I call the Leprodactyl. It is a balding black pterodactyl with exposed bones and muscles and torn wings. Green eyes peer from hollow sockets, and its long tail has a diamond black stabilizer.

Pen drawing that fills a page with large, unearthly looking shapes that intertwine with each other into a dense scene with shell like structures, large hollows almost with an insectoid eye cluster type appearance with the most prominent features being a mostly hidden skull on the left and right of center is a more prominent and visible humanoid skull. This skull is implied to be massive based on the figures standing in the eye sockets and the appearance that it is at the end of a trail while the skull and walkway is rising above out of twisted root like structures, fleshy sacks and other features. Standing out of these is an almost carved theatre style mask set in a frieze with an arch of skulls over it and seemingly supporting the trail.
