I'm an indie dev currently working on a hybrid RPG and visual novel called South of the March. It's set in the same fantasy world as a text adventure I released a while back, this time with hand-drawn art and turn-based combat!

It doesn't really happen anymore, but that used to be my primary dream style in high school. Just a full regular day, then wake up and do the full regular day. Sucks.

I firmly believe Aziz is a prime example of a guy who, in the wake of his MeToo moment, could have just said, "sorry, I didn't get it but I do now," and society at large would have completely accepted it. But he simply cannot do himself a favor.

I like it every time Luffy does this, and I like it even more when Chopper sort of frantically tries to imitate it to fit in.
Luffy sticking chopsticks between his lips and nose to create some sort of weird tusk-type expression.

A lot of jokes about the absurdity of “the girlfriend of one of the founders of antifa,” but I am concerned that may mean they actually *have* arbitrarily arrested the random girlfriend of some guy who runs a Facebook group or something.

Sometimes I see a post that I just assume was @scoobydouchebag.bsky.social and then I'm confused when it's not.

"Can I see the cheapest thing from [specific brand name you carry]?"

"I hear you man but no, how about the most expensive thing, and it's a different brand, and it's a different thing?"

One of the coolest things about Amazon is how if you search for things, it doesn't care, it kinda just shows you whatever, and if you then try sorting, that also just shows you whatever.

Damn. Then you can at least plan for the pizza you will order no too long in the future.

These are the tips Big Indiegame doesn't want you to know. Can't be beat by competitors if you narrow your audience to one individual guy and then do manual word-of-mouth marketing directly into his ear.

Outback Steakhouse doesn't count? Seems close enough.

Yeah I'm really liking it so far. Never heard a thing about it, just got it randomly on sale. I truly hope it doesn't suffer that much from the title, but I can't help but think literally almost any other title would sell better lol

If I could add a feature like this, it would be to pin other people's pfps so that even if they change it, I would still see the original.

You start the game in super-jail with a literal million year sentence. I have already had decades added to my sentence for various infractions, such as:
- Using the run button
- Standing still for too long
- Attempting to talk to my superiors
- Sleeping while lying down

I put off playing Freedom Wars because of the stupid title, but I regret to inform you that, like almost every anime-looking game I put off because of a stupid title, it's great.
Freedom Wars game art. Shows an anime guy with a big robot behind him. A bunch of other anime people are sitting on the robot.

I don't trust Glen Powell. I am skeptical of this man.

I want to see a contemporary version of 80s-era Stephen King bullies like they have in Christine. Like they have Gen Z broccoli hair, but they're also unmistakably 40 and open-carry an AR-15 in class.

Experts believe that by 2032, the US economy will run entirely on 15-second clips from fake podcasts where a guy says "what is your bodycount" to a girl.

Like I don't even mean this as a defense of anybody, but the biggest argument against "the bsky people are feeding your data to gen AI models" is that no gen AI model would pay for your data on here, because it's free to take.

Yeah this is kind of key to me. I wouldn't even say "like any other site," as it wouldn't be trivial to scrape everything on Twitter, for example. But it probably is kind of crucial that people posting on here understand that anybody can do anything with what you post, and it's very easy.

Hive provides genAI services, but Bsky has no stake in that part of the company and there is no financial incentive for them to provide the data themselves. If Hive, or any company, wants to scrape the entirety of Bsky like any other site, they can. I can't find it in me to be mad about this anymore

I'm imagining this like in a Jehovah's Witness at your door kind of way

I didn't get the card game either, but I think if I had the baseline knowledge of "there is a card game in this game," I definitely would have.

Early on I was unclear about the politically radical impressions some people have of One Piece, but this kind of consistent anti-nationalist attitude (especially in the culmination of the whole Enies Lobby situation) is really something.
Two panels from One Piece. First shows Nami saying, "is it right... for people to die so easily?" Second shows Robin responding, "people can't be seen on a map."

Trying to figure out why I'm not getting @ messages on GitHub and discovering that I've had a gmail rule sitting there filtering them out for like 12 years.

Same. It's a bummer, because I feel like I should be their dead-center target audience, and I would really like to be, but it's just so thin most of the time.
