Uber Eats constantly trying to cross-promote with Uber is funny because I feel like they're fundamentally at odds with each other. If you're using one, you're kind of by definition not using the other.

I'm a huge idiot who has watched a lot of Bigfoot movies, and I think this comes closer to pulling it off than perhaps any other I've seen.

I'd make them return to the VHS era of constant annual horror sequels. Hereditary 6: Paimon in Space. The VVitch sequel set in Manhattan on Christmas. New Babadook where you find out there's a bunch of Babadooks.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

New trend I'm noticing: people ask "is it AI?" to mean "is it real?" Then they assume that if it's not AI, that means it's real, no longer conscious of the fact that things can be fake without being AI.

I'm now on the third one and a new guy is playing the Djinn. His vibe is much more "sex pest college professor" than "comically sinister actual devil." I don't love it.
I've somehow never seen any Wishmaster movies and I'm realizing like five minutes in that this is a huge oversight.

Critters is one of those franchises that works a lot better as "VHS cover you see at Blockbuster as a small child" than as actual movies.

We have finally automated the essential developmental function of "your friend's weird older brother."
One of the most foundational things I read as a kid was Noam Chomsky talking about conspiracy theories and how government coverups are generally fake, because in reality all the horrors are written down and well-documented right out in the open, and it's just that nobody really cares.

I've at the Whole Cake Island arc in One Piece and I'm so glad they're actually giving Sanji a plotline. I deeply hope there's something equivalent for Brook later, because he's the only truly undercooked part of this thing to me.

The best thing about schlocky 70s-80s Italian zombie movies is that I might've seen all of them, but also I don't know which ones I've seen, and also it doesn't really matter.

The "enough with the purity tests" view of voting feels like a refusal to understand group dynamics. It's like looking at a surging mass of people about to do a crowd crush and saying "well this will be solved if each person individually chooses to move in the correct direction."
