Very glad it's not just me who remembers this! #forgotten80s
Always associate Wot with a Grange Hill disco in which Baxter and Mooney dance together with the kids (Zammo, Jonah, Fay generation) dance and clap around them ... #forgotten80s

Can never hear "Wot" withough picturing Miss Mooney and Bullet Baxter cuttting a rug to it at the end of an episode of Grange Hill #forgotten80s

This is my favourite TFF single release, and I still can't understand why the group take against it so much as I think it's brilliant #forgotten80s

Evening #sts70s folks.

Would you mind if I don't get up, stand up, and strut my funky stuff? I've just had my supper and need to let it go down first....

I was part of the Noel Edmonds Gotcha that properly got DLT doing his quiz live on't radio. There was old bad blood between them and it worked perfectly. I was a 'contestant' called Geoff Kirk from the Dun Cow pub. Noel was very, very pleased with result. As if he'd written a wish down.🥸it's extant.

Highly enjoyable story about a woman who should not have been trifled with telling truth to power*

So... It's the summer of '75, and we're on a day trip to Rhyl, as Merseysiders of ten did in those days. As I'd be going back to school in a couple of weeks, me and my mum went into a shoe shop. We chose a pair for my, my mum asked the lady if they had my side, she said she'd go and check... /1

No, *YOU'VE* spent your Saturday evening working out exactly which 3 digit codes were in use in the 051 area in the mid 80s to reach exchanges local to Liverpool but in different area codes, based on the local numbers

eg Warrington
5 fig numbers 5xxxx -> 925 xxxx
6 fig numbers 57xxxx -> 757 xxxx

WHAT A SONG

(second only to "Elstree" in my list of favourite Buggles tracks by the absolute slimmest of margins)
Top of the Pops (24th January 1980). The Buggles open the show with The Plastic Age.

Following @noiseboxradio.com suggestions for "a song you were really into when you were 27", yesterday, I was reminded of this which was a new entry in the UK charts from the very week I turned 27.

And I'd forgotten just how much of an absolute banger it is.

Found the t-shirt my employers gave us all last year when we were on the company off-site in Cancun.

Much as I want to rip the thing to shreds and post it back to them, the material is really good quality.

Think I'll keep it but relegate it to the "sleeping attire" box.

A second place finish on a tie break brings my first OQL Brain of Music competition to a close.
Out of 185 participants I finished 34th overall, which I'm extremely happy with and gives me a decent target to aim for in the next one.

Whoever the Reddit user JessiePatch is, can someone please buy them several pints of their preferred beverage because they are a genuinely wonderful person and should be applauded for this.

On reflection, this is probably a little harsh, so I'll downgrade it to "brings you out in a cold sweat".
But you're absolutely keeping the severity level of the haemorrhoids.
Whoever is responsible for removing the option to order videos by upload date on Youtube.

I hope you and your entire family come down with a case of haemorrhoids which is so painful that even just looking at a wooden chair triggers the severest mental trauma in you for the rest of your lives 😡
