it's crazy that my insurance is basically like "you shouldve spent months risking death or a coma daily including getting on a plane and flying back to FL and waiting for the RIGHT surgeon that we want you to go to. otherwise we won't cover your life threatening emergency"

i know they're going to say "you were discharged from the hospital" (i fought against this) + "you elected to have the surgery outside of florida" (the rapid blood sugar drops from my tumor required 24/7 monitoring so i didn't become comatose and FL specialists had no appts available for months)
