My old gym closed and now there's a super fancy self service gym in its place. All the equipment is so modern with screens and all. It's only 10 min walk away. So heres hoping that'll motivate me. Aiming at maybe going on Mondays?

Before driving home from Kraków we visited Schindlers Factory (the museum) on Wednesday. Since neither me nor Saber have seen Spielbergs Schinders list before we agreed to watch it. Oof. Deeply traumatising. Needed some time to digest that movie. Humans can be such monsters.

Visited Auschwitz-Birkenau yesterday on a guided tour. Snow and cold settled over a place heavy with history and loss. A tragic place, and one we must never forget.

7.000 Haushalte und 150 Gewerbekunden - vor allem in Lichterfelde - haben wieder Strom. Für die restlichen rund 40.000 könnte das erst ab Donnerstag wieder der Fall sein. Bisher sind drei Notunterkünfte eingerichtet. Am Sonntag wollen einige Kirchen Räume öffnen. (Stand: Sonntag, 4.1., 10:30 Uhr)

We ended up in a very hipstery cocktail bar. They had a cute menu with custom stories and art work in it. I was allowed to steal it as souvenir. The decoration and cocktails were matching the menu. The waiters were all so sweet and friendly. The bar is called Dziady i Koktajle.

Theres a massive power outage in the south western part of Berlin and it gives me flashbacks to when I had no power for 60h in September. This time I'm not affected thankfully but there are roughly 50k households affected. And its bittercold and snowing over here. No estimate when it'll be fixed.

Was at the Rotes Rathaus christmas market with my colleagues today. Did some ice skating. Maaaan the track was bad. It was half melted and I fell once probably resulting in a rainbow colored hip. It was so much fun regardless. Now I kinda wanna go visit a proper ice skating location again.

Was at the Rotes Rathaus christmas market with my colleagues today. Did some ice skating. Maaaan the track was bad. It was half melted and I fell once probably resulting in a rainbow colored hip. It was so much fun regardless. Now I kinda wanna go visit a proper ice skating location again.
I was at a live reading of my favorite true crime podcast this evening. 🥰 The performers have such incredibly good voices. I would have thought they were enhanced in some way in the podcast, but no. 😲
