Earth Story was brilliant. Then Iain Stewart started doing his stuff in 2000s, and while still really good, difference in style so noticeable. Earth Story may be out of date, but still the best.

I know?! Some adhd people like that apparently, but it drives me crazy. Why I don't watch that, or ones where they cut out the breath space. Don't get the speed things up listeners, cos it's too close to what adhs feels like.

Well, that was always my freezing point. Needing to know how / why before I could do the experiment. Scientists are people who never grew out of asking, "But why?"

The best one was Earth Story from the 90s. Sadly not on free YouTube anymore, but you can stream it. After that there was less how.

I’d heard about the extinction of the slender-billed curlew and the poor bird hadn’t had a definite sighting since 1995 but official confirmation (96% probability it is correct) of its extinction is still profoundly sad - ask not for whom the bell tolls…
