Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I wrote a new piece for @pghcitypaper.com about loving analog media in a digital world. If you’re someone who’s into vinyl, film photography, print media, and invaluable local businesses, you should check it out! I also coin the phrase “techno-bummerism” lol
In a digital world, Pittsburgh is an analog paradise
At places like Galaxie Electronics and Bernie's Photo Center, young people are relearning the joys of vinyl, film, and slowing down.

Not only can the country absolutely afford to do a lot more good things that help people– in housing, healthcare, infrastructure, and environment– there is no reason not to do it. Pretty simple: We should do big things that help people and not do things that hurt people. bsky.app/profile/cost...
How many times in your life have you heard a member of Congress or someone on TV say “we can’t afford it” when talking about something small but very important? It’s been happening my entire life. We can’t afford it? They’re putting seven times the annual budget of the EPA into immigrant detention.

I’ve been failing to score 10 in an NBA game for a lot longer than this buddy let me tell you
For the first time in the regular season since Jan. 5, 2007, LeBron James failed to eclipse the double-digit mark.

His streak lasted 1,297 regular-season games and predates the announcement of the first iPhone.

After 1,297 games, LeBron James’ 10-point scoring streak ends with Lakers buzzer-beater
James scored just eight points in a 123-120 win over the Toronto Raptors, ending a regular-season run that began in January of 2007.

What a tremendous musician and a great loss for lovers of Stax
Steve Cropper, the prodigious guitarist, songwriter and producer who played a pivotal role in shaping the lean gutbucket soul music made at Memphis’s Stax Records in the 1960s and ’70s, has died at 84.
Steve Cropper, Guitarist, Songwriter and a Shaper of Memphis Soul Music
As a member of Booker T. & the MG’s and as a producer, he played a pivotal role in the rise of Stax Records, a storied force in R&B in the 1960s and ’70s.
