The newest Chainsaw Man chapter is bad, wow. I am shocked at how much the quality has dropped from this final fight compared to Part 1's final fight.
Both were built up throughout the parts. But Part 2's final fight feels like a slog. I'm hoping for a final "aha!" moment before the end at least.

Roy Thomas is a truly fascinating man. Never have I seen a man who's own work he dislikes is actually really solid, meanwhile his passionate projects are just not engaging or as good.

I can only clap how hack this first issue is. Opens on promising relationship drama and self-reflection, only to spend 3/5's of it recapping at most ten year old issue.

Ever since getting back into reading/listening to audiobooks, most LN adaptations don't interest me now. I can read the original books easily and quickly.
