I agree that using native frameworks is actually superior and developers should prefer them, but I doubt that liquid glass consistency concerns would push many developers into adopting them so Apple should be interested in providing guidelines that at least help maintain design consistency
sominemo.com
Also if developers want to continue supporting iOS versions before 26, they have to implement custom glass or introduce a fallback for older systems.
sominemo.com
Apple provides no official specification and/or reference implementation for Liquid Glass, which just calls for more design inconsistency on their own platform if developers use anything but SwiftUI/UIKit/AppKit.

Zoned out for a minute while doing random warmup doodles and woke up to a sneaker, I don't know why.

Summer is over, better use that vinyl body for something more season-fitting

Was given a cute idea so wanted to do it (totally not as an excuse to draw myself as a pooltoy).
A digital drawing shows an anthropomorphic green cat wearing glasses and a collar, sitting and trying to open an orange item that looks like a pooltoy valve. In the next frame, the cat has just turned into a pooltoy with handles, smooshing its own face with bappers and looking concerned, while also having a painted-on grin.
A shadow appears on the pooltoy's face from the ceiling as a piston rushes down and crushes it, then stretches it out, revealing deformed, stretched-out vinyl goo face, and then crushes it again. The piston produces a green vinyl record that’s grabbed by a brown paw and placed on a record player. The vinyl record seems flustered by this arrangement.

Me? Becoming a vinyl pooltoy? In the middle of autumn? Why now?!

WebExtensions Manifest V3 is so bad
No way to see or edit response body anymore. Now you have to inject a script into page and replace the fetch APIs.

These JS hacks are somehow supposed be better than a clean API.

Just another example of how V3's decisions are really not that much about security.

The fact the Windows kernel was under Azure division and remains there, separate from the rest of the Windows team, is incredible.

scoop: the Windows team is back together again. Microsoft is bringing its key Windows engineering teams under a single org again, after they were split up in 2018. It's part of a Windows reshuffle today. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/report/78779...

Sliced up :)
For better resolution
A sequence includes cartoony violence between a green anthropomorphic cat wearing glasses and a light yellow fox wearing a periwinkle shirt with two white stripes. The sequence begins with the cat smirking mischievously at the confused fox. In the next moment, the fox is grabbed from the ceiling by its shirt by a manipulator arm and lifted into the air. The fox slips out of its clothing while the manipulator proceeds with the shirt to ghost hands that are ready to put the shirt on a hanger to store in a closet. The fox ends up in a metal chamber, looks concerned. In the next moment, a huge press slides down with a "CLANG!" sound, pressing the fox to an extreme degree. The press’s shape causes the fox to be shaped like a lemon, which gets picked up by the cat. The lemon gets sliced with a knife, squeezed on a juicer, and poured into a glass with a straw, decorated with one of the slices on the rim so the beverage can be drunk by the cat.

Though I suspect he had little room over that under the management.

I also find Muse Hub to be a problem because it is quite invasive and heavy of software, and enough people complain about accidentally installing Muse Hub online.
sominemo.com
true, all the UI/UX improvements are generally a net positive in my eyes.

But the
- How the download page imposes Muse Hub onto you
- How the post-download page, first welcome, and save dialogs try to shove Audio dot com onto you
are things I am very disappointed about.

This feels suboptimal. Maybe I'd combine the second popup into the first popup, "btw this will set your default", and maybe would even show the shortcut for the alternative delete method, if there's one available by default.
