Someone very knowledgeable who is infodumping all of the rules to a game that I don't know, while also calling all the shots, is a very sexy and necessary part of any gaming experience.

Never mind that introversion and extroversion are complex social models of dynamic cognitive allocation; these are simply a binary of "likes/dislikes people".

Suffice to say, it is professional sabotage on top of everything else since the MBTI often suggests success in fields you will fail within.

For you, yeah, you're a very empathetic person. From experience, I know this.

I think it measures the "signs" of "empathy" from a neurotypical perspective.

The test seems really really good at identifying if you're depressed or autistic.

In this conversation I would just like to include the phrase poswid. The purpose of a system is what it does.

If this is the effect of the mbti it does not matter if it was not designed for this purpose, because it's what it is used for and what it does. Therefore it is a tool for genocide.

One job I got based on the test labelling me as ISTP.

I'm only ISTP when I've had proper sleep, a large dose of a stimulant and I'm not in any significant body pain or discomfort.

So it seems what MBTI actually measures is "how has trauma limited you today".

I love that I've literally gotten and lost jobs before based on which facet of myself answers the questions for the task, as every question on the MBTI is context sensitive and doesn't supply context so the current context is used.

I hack this by shifting my own context around/PTSD shit.

Quadcopter noises give me fucking hella hyperarousal and I'm not a veteran of any wars.

I do have PTSD though! Any noise "like" that will set all my sensors off.
