Went to visit my friends at Animal Care Center of NYC up on 110th Street. They’re extremely overcrowded with adoptable dogs and cats. It’s dire. I met Bass, one of dozens of dogs who need a forever home or even a foster. And if you adopt, tell them I sent you and they will waive the adoption fee.

An article about the silver levy in Germany. My family was one of nearly 100 that had a silver object returned through restitution after 85 years - my great-grandfather’s 17th c. kiddush cup. (There’s a photo in the article, it’s truly a beauty.)
