Finished watching #MazingerZInfinity. This is honestly not my favorite Mazinger piece of media and it's a reunion type of film. The action took/felt too long to kickstart, but what action it does have is solid stuff. I do see why it's better in Super Robot Wars 30 and T though.

This kinda describes me to a T, there's so many times I've gotten into something, wanted to make it work SO bad, but that gnawing fear that if something goes wrong, it's not just the project that failed, I failed as a person

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
