The X-Plus Bride has been primed. Duplicolor automotive black, and Tamiya Grey and Fine White (zenithal).

I did the gap filling with Apoxie Sculpt and some Liquitex Modeling Paste.

Now to let that dry and pick out colors.

Been away for a bit.

Mom has a non-cancerous brain tumor. Late Oct. surgery and caring for her is full time.

I also got a big second degree burn on my stomach (boiling water). Mostly healed up though.

So, I'm trying to get caught up. I want to get the X-Plus Bride built and painted by Halloween.

TBH, I've have a strong opinion since the first ships were introduced a couple years ago.

Rip-off.

Some visible print lines and decal film, and rough paint patches. Unacceptable for those prices.

Pro-level model builders on commission will do a better job (with a kit or 3D print) for a lot less.

According to KFF, the House's crap bill had #Medicaid work requirements BY 12-31-2026, or earlier by state.

The Senate version says by 12-31-2028 ... IF the state shows "good faith" compliance.

I wonder when the groveling, begging and kissing of the ring will begin to get those extensions ...

At least I can weed the #garden this evening to keep me halfway sane from all the BS.

Everything is thankfully doing well. The #potatoes are approaching 6ft, thanks to all the hot weather and rain.

Waiting for the hot banana #peppers to change.

And the supermarket #rosemary is finally taking off.

My main garden. Surrounded by electric fence. Raised beds of bush beans, yellow squash and pole beans. Corn, more pole beans, bush beans, tomatoes and sweet peppers are in the ground.

Deflectors definitely keep a dust grain from putting huge holes in the hull at warp (see Enterprise pilot). But at low impulse/thrusters ... dust, paint changes by radiation exposure and resettled debris from hits.

In the end, our Earth brains have been trained throughout life to expect weathering.
