Doc: “What u need to try is intermittent fasting. U need to be lifting 3x/week. And u need to be doing cold showers in the morning! Ur regular doc wont tell u this stuff.”

I was born into a cult and had a pretty traumatic early childhood. Music and theater helped me with my big feelings, as well as therapy when I got older. I want to be a safe space for kids and help by using play-based therapy. Kids say so much through play and the arts are so cathartic

Theo’s school did a lockdown drill today. I was unaware that they don’t tell them it’s a drill until after, so he cried through it. He said his teacher told the class after that it makes her mad when they do the drills bc they shouldn’t have to. YUP ME TOO KID!!!!

Something I love about myself is that I’m a pretty decent baker. I found a recipe for Ina Garten’s chocolate cake and I am so chuffed with myself rn. Like top 5 best decisions I’ve ever made. Right up there with marrying my husband and only having 1 kid*
