Savvy listeners will have picked up on the fact that Spooky Science Lab is recorded in New York City. What they may not know is that NYC is also home to 2,143 species of fungus, including "carnivorous mushrooms that use little lassos to rope little worms."

Nick explores the chilling (in more ways than one) world of ice mummies. From Beechey Island in the Arctic to the summits of the Austrian Alps, the bodies of the dead lay frozen and preserved, including one "iceman" discovered to be 5,300 years old! (1/2)
