Today's historic pic: Unique English Electric loco 1225 and a northbound narrow gauge Queensland Rail goods at the State border break-of-gauge station of Wallangarra, Qld, August 4 1985. 1225, built in 1985 using parts from 1208, 1252 and 1253, ran for just 3 years before withdrawal in 1987.

A light blue and white liveried carbody style diesel locomotive with rounded nose and sun visor above cab windows sits at the head of a narrow gauge mixed goods train of louvre vans, container flats, open wagons and a guards van. A Passenger station is behind the train, largely obscured by it. Two or three narrow gauge tracks and switches are in the station yard in the lower foreground.

Wanted to draw a more wholesome interaction with them after seeing the merch ad. Rocky passed out on Viktor after a long day of work and Viktor lets him rest in a moment of sympathy. Plus I’ve been wanting to draw Viktor again!

Today's historic pic: Just 2 weeks before the line's closure for conversion to a tramway, a 4-car Grey Ghost converted Harris train on a broad gauge Flinders Street to St Kilda train runs past the Wright Street tram platforms under construction between Albert Park and Middle Park, Vic, July 18 1987.

A light-grey-liveried 4-car electric multiple unit train approaches us on a double track electrified railway on a downhill gentle left hand curve. At right, just in front of the train, is a low level tram platform under construction in readiness for the imminent conversion of this railway to a tramway.

Oct 14, 1990: former Canadian Pacific Railway 4-6-2 steam locomotive No. 1201 is retired after an excursion between Ottawa and Hawkesbury, Ontario. Built at CP's Angus Shops in 1944, No. 1201 was withdrawn from service in 1960. It was restored at the John Street roundhouse in 1976. 1/3
