I've been playing through Gal Guardians: Demon Purge lately. Fun little Classicvania like.
I can't believe I'm becoming a Gal★Gun shooter. A lot of the moment to moment gameplay is nice, some of the jokes land for me, and I think there's a nice amount of detail put into the individual levels.

Unfortunately my highlight of tonight is that I have that one Muse song that's in Twilight nailed down. The solo is so easy... Fake ass song. Very fun though.

Posting this an example of how I'm handling sprites in my game, featuring a concept outfit and a scuffed face. Effectively, it's layers of paper; individual elements like bodies, limbs, and clothes are scanned in on their own and colored digitally before being composited into a full sprite.

I simply can not ask people to take pictures of their apartment as backgrounds for my VN but how else am I supposed to get the vibes right. I do not need Clear, Cool apartments... I need the weeb apartments.
