I remember Dawning Realization Month for the NFT people too. Think this is going to take much longer because of how wrapped up the whole economy is in this, but it really feels like it's happening.
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

I can't give enough praise to Guild Wars 2's transaction philosophy. F2P without feeling broken, convenience and fashion incentives, everything but DLC purchasable with in-game currency.
I stopped playing for 10 yrs and picked it right back up, and I've had so much content to work through!

Call me old, but I wish I could easily determine the difference between a pay-once indie game and a micro transaction hell, especially on mobile. Feels like a slog through junk often-times.

I'm feeling a bit heartbroken that I'm missing out on the first expedition rewards ever in No Man's Sky because I thought "approximately 3 weeks" meant more than 15 days. I logged in today to see half the expedition forever incomplete. Such a bummer. @nomansbsky.bsky.social
