What an exciting life I live.

In fairness I slept poorly last night. I'm also covering for a coworker in eastern time tomorrow, so I'm waking up before 5am. But it's 7:30!

It was really difficult to follow the Red Sox from the PNW in the 80s, games were almost never on TV, you'd get ~30 seconds of game highlights on Baseball Tonight, the box score was in the newspaper the next day but that was about it.

Greenwell was my favorite player back then.

I created a google doc of the age of current MLS stadiums. This isn't about how long teams have played there, just when the stadium opened. Soldier field is exactly 1 year older than PP, but nothing else comes close.

Chart of MLS Stadium Ages. This has nothing to do with how long the teams have played there, just when the stadium at the location is listed ads opened on wiki.

Portland and Chicago are outliers on the old end, with Vancouver next oldest.

A few months ago a few Timbers FO people were at the Axe and Rose when I was there and I mentioned something about the upcoming 100th anniversary, and they quickly responded "oh, we know" so it's good to know the team will do something to honor the history.

I REALLY hope that the Timbers are able to have a home game on the 100th anniversary. That's a Friday which would be unusual, but I think it should still happen

Individuals in the TA loaned 100s of scarves to the previous owner of the CBP. when it was purchased by Cheerful people tried to get their scarves back and were denied. Then a few years later all the scarves and other TA memorabilia was thrown in the trash.
