From my perspective, I am not only looking forward to one sequel to Demon Turf, but two. Both of which take its formula in two different directions.

Up until this point, Bubsy was a nothing game series, there was nothing it had that other game series had over it and all of its original ideas were so scatterbrained and undeveloped that it ultimately went nowhere and it quite frankly deserves the ridicule it has received over the years.

One might make the complaint that rather than making a good Bubsy that has the qualities it introduces, I'd strongly argue that the only good quality that Bubsy has is how good it can make people laugh.

And that's both true but also false in some areas and besides, given that Demon turf's upcoming sequel Demon Tides is gonna have a completely different structure from demon tides, I think Bubsy picking up the old structure makes alot of sense.

When I first saw gameplay I was a bit worried that it was gonna be just like Fabraz's previous game, Demon Turf but with a Bubsy skin over it.

If the game retains the quality throughout to the final release, I am very confident in saying it will be one of my favorite platformers of all time, if not my all time favorite platformer in general.

While it has moments where it pokes fun at itself, it also just carries itself with the general attitude of "Bubsy is back, and this time, we're gonna be the best thing you've ever played" Which is an infinity more appealing then constantly shooting yourself in the foot.

Another thing I love about this game is that unlike the other Bubsy reboots is that this game isn't self-deprecating, or at the very least not to the same degree.

I just finished the Bubsy 4D Demo and to say that I think it was amazing may be the understatement of the century.

This game is another certified Fabraz win with movement that allows for a great amount of player expression and wonderful level design that takes advantage of said movement.

So with all that laid on the table, I can't say that this will be something I'll be picking up since this game's only noticeable merit in comparison to the previous games is the amount of IP's names you can slap on top of it.

Which brings me to the last thing I want to bring up in regards to this game, the pricing. Even if this game didn't have all of these issues, the fact that the game is 70-90$ is crazy and as it is currently, it DEFINITLY doesn't warrant having that price.

I'm sorry but no one asked for Spongebob, Minecraft or Avatar. The Pacman one is neat, but only for what it adds to Pac-Man's upcoming game and Mega Man is also neat but only for the fact that the franchise has gotten nothing of major substance for a while now.

While I don't mind the callbacks to previous entries in the series (even though Sonic does that every 5 seconds these days), what I definitely don't care for is that just like everything else these days Sonic crosses over with things makes it feel very cynical in it's intention.

Sonic Racing Crossworld thoughts (1/7) (I was originally gonna post this after the network test but... life happned)

I've played Crossworlds Network test for a little bit and it's fine, it's certainly a Mario Kart game with Sonic in it and that's perfectly fine.

I thought the beta was fine but the 70 US$ plus the 20$ DLCs on top of that is just way too much.

I find that the amount of people who praise Sega for ”owning” nintendo to be very silly.
