We’re saying yes to housing. That’s why council unanimously adopted a plan yesterday to eliminate or reduce the scope of 26 different studies that used to add time and cost to the housing process. We want to be the most housing-friendly city in Canada.

Many cities have seen division and disruption over their new zoning bylaw. In Ottawa, we worked effectively and collaboratively to achieve consensus on a new bylaw that will make it easier to build new homes in Ottawa, particularly near transit and major corridors.

Great news, Shepherds of Good Hope is making their building at 216 Murray Street available as a warming centre 24/7 during the extreme cold.

The Rideau Canal Skateway is fully open, all 7.8 kilometres of it. Being able to skate through the heart of our city is a big part of what makes winter in Ottawa special. Bundle up, skate safe, and make the most of it while conditions are great.
