Yes, thank, Charlotte. I seem to get tired, and sometimes breathless easily since I have had heart problems. My wife thinks I might have sleep apnoea too so this was a test for that. I think I just need to build up my stamina again.

Thanks, Keri. I was attached to a gizmo all night which measured my breathing, I think. They want to see if I have sleep apnoea. It is complicated but i feel optimistic this morning.Are you OK?

A long time ago, one minor celebrity was on TV telling us that he had just stuck a picture of Thatcher's face on his TV screen because she was always on it, telling us what to think and do, he might as well not switch it on and look at her anyway. It is the same with Farage now.

Thanks for confirming what I expected would be the case. I don't swear much in everyday conversation but one of my Bluesky friends taught me the abbreviation JFC, which seems appropriate here. I am off to Broadgreen soon, that's my priority today! I am OK though. 😄

Hi Rachel, Sorry but I won't be on here much today. I have to go to the hospital for another scan. I only received the letter telling me about this appointment yesterday lunchtime. I feel fine but they want to investigate all the possible causes of my symptoms. See you later, Steve

I never had a rod which was strong enough for pike. My brother did. We ate one of the pike he caught once. It tasted of all the mud at the bottom of the river/lake where he had caught it!

Thanks, it must be 50 years since the last time I saw a perch! Our canal is the Leeds-Liverpool canal. 🙂

It is a good thing to do. There is nowhere to go fishing here. A few people go down to the sea wall to fish. The beach was mostly destroyed by the currents which changed when the entrance to the port of Liverpool was made deeper to accomodate bigger ships in the 50s (?) There is a canal near Bootle

I should be coming back soon, to visit my mother.I have no other relatives left in Norwich now - just an aunt and uncle who live near Diss and some of my mother's cousins who live the wilds of East Norfolk.
