June 1928: H.P. Lovecraft's visit with "literary persons' in Guilford, VT.

PS: The so-called "The Awful" manufactured lore, positing H.P.L. visiting northern VT, is a lot of hooey. Never happened. No such HPL visit to the northern region ever occurred.

Then again, after a couple of hours, the 'feature' allowing one to know what part of the globe a comment originated from was removed. Surprise, surprise, surprise!
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

My first 'film collection'—8mm (and later, Super 8) 50' and 200' reels from Castle Films, Ken Films, etc.

In walking distance of our abode is this crumbling ruin of a once sizeable home. My pal Joe thought a local friend was squatting here when it was still partially intact; dunno.

Risked ticks (!) to snap these pix just after dawn; that dangling bright-red remote-controlled car just breaks my heart.

Matt Mazur worked with our son Danny Bissette on their latest musical project/LP; Matt painted the front-&-back cover art & interior sleeve art. He also self-publishes the zine OH YOU! (this is #26), which Danny showed me & I quite love it.

NEW WORK:

All this arrived in the mail & via UPS this week. Collaborative work with Chuck Forsman (reprints), Tim Paxton, Denis St. John, & latest (final!) installment of serialization.

Info to follow, as one of these is "just" a proof print copy, making final corrections before it's available...

We've been secretly, silently working on this for 2 years.

Finally, we can talk about it...

Screenshot from my phone.

This fucking bullshit scam-spam hit me every-other-day, until I got fed up & "replied" as you see here.

They "unsubscribed" me in 20 seconds flat.

SCORE!

Our son Danny just handed me his brand-new LP yesterday evening. Wow! See first comment on the comments thread, below, to order your own copy, highest recommendation—

—and that's a bit of Dad's (my) artwork on the vinyl 'hub' label. I'll be doing some one-of-a-kind ceramic originals soon with it...

NEW WORK: My 4-part serialized CRYPTID CINEMA™ analysis of 1950s-70s TV westerns w/cryptids & faux-cryptids concludes in the brand-new issue of BARE*BONES, now available on amazon.

Next issue: my autopsy of JUNGLE JIM movie cryptids (yep, there were more in the JJ movies than in Tarzan movies!)

THE most corrupt Prez & Administration of my lifetime (7 decades on this dustball), absolutely. In terms of US history: move over, Hoover, you've been Trumped.
wrote about the president’s flagrant and destructive corruption in a column that references street fighter, the simpsons, machiavelli, and a host of revolutionary-era americans (gift link)

Harwood Union High School auditorium was mighty special to me as a student; performed in a procession of 1-act plays & musicals on this stage, projected publicly-exhibited 16mm feature films & curated a film festival here, start of my "career" currently doing bonus features for Blu-ray/4K clients

Despite Steely Dan, yep, I went back to my old school—Harwood Union High School, Duxbury/Moretown, VT—on Saturday. They've added on a whole new section, but the 2 most important 'rooms' to me, the library and auditorium, are lookin' fine. Library plenty different, that stage & screen the same...

Survived completely schizo two weeks of work screening/studying the justifiably infamous ILSA 1970s film series on the one hand, and East German 1960s & '70s fairy tale movies on the other—then seeing to blu-ray bonus features for both! Capped it off by dashing to the matinee of NUREMBERG (2025).

Why would our Felon-in-Chief flip on the vote? We all know he'll use passages to attack his enemies; we all know they're laundering the files; they'll use "under investigation" as rationale for not releasing the files; etc. Despite all this & so much more.
