Here's how J.B. Bickerstaff has described Pistons games during their win streak:

-nasty
-muddy
-sticky
-thick
-ugly

How I'd describe them:
WWWWWWWWWWWWW

On the first place (!) Pistons, who have become the team of the future by embracing their past:

Bad Boy basketball is back in Detroit: The Pistons' Nasty Boys are muddy, sticky and too good to ignore | Sporting News
The Pistons are the No. 1 team in the East, and they're embracing their franchise's roots to get there.

Noa Essengue gets two minutes in his second career stint. It went about as poorly as possible.

Tre Jones' defensive feel won the Bulls this game against the Wizards. Terrific instincts to go for the steal here.

Noa Essengue finally got his first real stint of playing time (last lottery pick to do so). Played 3:53 in the 2Q, got some cardio, and missed an open corner 3 before Billy Donovan pulled him.

WOW Cam Whitmore doing this off a made basket!

Kevin Huerter just got ejected for this

Nice back-to-back buckets from Matas Buzelis to end the 2Q
November 22, 2025 at 2:18 AM
Really short leash for Matas Buzelis last night.

Billy Donovan had Patrick Williams walking to the scorers table to sub him out after only the first two minutes of the game. Called a timeout the next possession and got him out of there. Matas didn't come back in until the 2Q.

Teams with less than five wins at this point of the season:

2026: 9
2025: 5
2024: 6
2023: 3
2022: 5
2021: 3
2020: 4

The bottom of the league is as bad as it's been in recent memory.

Pistons run a lot of fun stuff out of Iverson series on inbounds plays. Here was a beautiful one last night, Iverson loop to set up an easy Cade Cunningham layup.

Not enough attention is being given to the fact that the Rockets have the best offense in league history. It's also the weirdest.

-Dead last in 3-point attempt rate
-No. 1 by a mile in offensive rebound rate

Mashing their way to points while eschewing 3's.

Pistons just finished playing a back-to-back on the road, on the front end of a four game road trip, and most of the guys are still putting in the time to lift weights in the arena tunnel after the win.

Back-to-back clutch buckets from Cade Cunningham to ice the win and snap the Hawks five-game winning streak.

Javonte Green wiping his sweat on the ball again between free throws. Gross and hilarious!

Javonte Green wiped his sweat on the ball and got Keaton Wallace to miss his second free throw 😆

This is the kind of hustle that you're never going to see in highlight reels but leads to winning.

Give Vit Krejci his flowers, had to be low man against a massive dude in Jalen Duren and also recover to an electric shooter in Duncan Robinson.

I thought this was a very insightful story from Matas Buzelis when asked about his "Welcome to the NBA" moment.

Matas shared a behind-the-scenes look at the tough conversations in the film room. Reinforces what we've heard about his desire to be coached hard.

Last year, no one was even close to Dyson Daniels in terms of deflections/steals.

This year, there is a surprising new disruptions king: Ryan Rollins, who has 11 more deflections while playing 22 less minutes.

Embarrassing 124-113 loss for the Bulls tonight. Missing Josh Giddey is tough, but bigger problem is that they haven't been able to protect the rim at all. Their defense has fallen apart since the hot start.

Look at who the Pistons had missing:
