Apologies for the tease but picked up a pretty big lot of game stuff today, some of which I've been trying to shake loose for 15+ years. Nothing earth shattering but rare nonetheless.

Getting it over to @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social so that we can properly document and share what we are allowed to!

I had heard about the rapid increase in RAM prices but apparently the market is so volatile that Central Computers stopped printing price tags

did you know that you can find free Cortex M0 development boards at the side of the road? folks call them disposable vapes but they're hackable, and i've reverse engineered a bunch of them! see github.com/schlae/VapeRE/

Got one of my LaserActives back from some @zaxour.bsky.social love and decided to set up a stack of uncommon consoles into the rack. Time for some FMV background shooters and Merlin Racing!

I’m hoping we have a tight enough scene that if someone spots this stuff for sale we can catch these shitheads
KIRO 7 ran an article and two TV pieces on the theft of a box truck full of arcade PCBs, artwork, and machines from my workplace yesterday. If anyone in the Seattle area sees someone offloading a ton of CPS2/NAOMI/Neo Geo PCBs, stuff of that nature, please reach out.

Thanks to a generous donation, we've completed our digitized collection of E3 directories from 1995–2006. Every booth, every company, every map. 2400 pages.

The more projects I get off the bench backlog the more I realize I like fixing some of these things more than I like owning them. Might have to get a table at the Electronics Flea Market when it spins up again next year to unload stuff

Am I doing this right?

I'll never forget baggage claim at SFO after that E3 where literally a dozen of these came tumbling onto the conveyor belt
Random old dude at the farmers market is dragging around the legendary E3 2005 PlayStation party bag

This is amazing restoration work and I'm so appreciative of @polymatt.bsky.social's skill and attention to detail. S/O to @bambulabglobal.bsky.social for sponsoring!
New video up! Just finished the massive project of restoring/rebuilding @lgr-yt.bsky.social’s destroyed Chaplet Halikan LA-30A. This was a big one 😅. Enjoy!

Y'all, I know two hours is a big time commitment, but this panel I arranged and hosted last month is one of the most important things I've ever done for video game history. The launch of the NES is a crazier story than most people realize, and my guests were extremely generous with their memories.

I just want to put this out into the universe.

If you are a homebrew developer of a GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SMS, MD/Genesis, N64, or PS1 game with a free version or a free demo of you game, I’d love to ship it with SuperStation as a physical or digital demo disk.
This is a very impressive PS1 game by @eliasdaler.bsky.social running on SuperStation.

Early morning at the Alameda Flea Market. Picked up this Space Duel poster that I need to find more about. I was already interested in the ComputerMate floppy organizer and when I picked it up it was heavier than expected. So for $5 I now own the organizer and someone's C64 pirate/legit collection

I don't have a dog in this hunt but super long overtimes do bring back fond memories like the 1995 ALDS where Tony Pena ended it with a walk-off at 2am or 2000 Flyers/Penguins where they were shooting the puck into the stands so they could buy time to sharpen skates and wolf down slices of pizza

The last time I recapped a PC LT I swore I'd never do it again. Somewhat comforting to know that even a subject matter expert found it to be a pain!
Don’t see one of these every day…full recap on a PC Engine LT! More like PITA, am I right?

I was tempted by this laserdisc that appeared to just be level-by-level Space Harrier gameplay footage just to see how it was captured. Not $200 tempted apparently

This is a 100% do not miss panel at PRGE! First-hand account of the lead up to and launch of the NES in the US from a small and scrappy team when nobody knew about Nintendo. So proud of the work that @frankcifaldi.bsky.social has done to bring our panelists together today!
Near Portland? Come celebrate the 40th anniversary of the NES with a once-in-a-lifetime panel with the people who made it happen! We're hosting a panel on the actual 40th anniversary date with ex-Nintendo staff. Memories, photos, surprises and more! www.patreon.com/posts/nes-40...
