The Texas NAACP warned it breaks with constitutional precedent and threatens lawful remedies for discrimination. Texans should take that seriously.

What happened in Minneapolis is a tragedy. My heart is with the victim’s family and loved ones. There is no justification for violence rooted in hate or dehumanization.

After talking with supporters, our team, and my husband, I decided not to file for public office today and will suspend my exploratory campaign for HD 49. I’m truly grateful to my supporters. Sean and I will stay involved in the work that strengthens Austin and reflects the best of Texas. Thank you.
