Currently on the comeback trail after hip resurfacing surgery for hip osteoarthritis.
Fundamentally there’s still an Isak-shaped hole in our team and Howe looks miles away from figuring out how to fill it. My hope, given we were after him all summer, is that he has a plan when Wissa is fit to start.
With a functioning attack, results like today (and Brentford, West Ham…) don’t happen

What a ridiculous way to lose a football game. I’ll be signing off from social media for a while now thanks…

Lot of huff & puff, not much in the way of quality from either side first half. Mackems had a lot of the ball early doors, but #NUFC grew into it as the game went on. Probably finished the better.
We’ve got gears we can move through, especially in an attacking sense. All to play for. #Howaythelads

Wasn’t expecting Elanga to start, would be quite the day to make yourself a hero. #NUFC

Ok, I’ll say it. I reckon Pope saves their second…
December 10, 2025 at 10:04 PM
Would’ve taken a draw pre-match, but so close to all three.
Massive improvement second half, helped by Flekken (but then hindered by his saves later). Close to getting two in front but for the width of the post, but a fair result overall. #NUFC

Disappointing first half. Started fairly well, but been largely poor since then. Slow, sloppy & ponderous in possession. Too slow to get back into position when it’s lost. Continually making the wrong decision when in promising positions. Not much positivity to take from that. #NUFC

No idea how tonight is going to go. Leverkusen seem to have been in decent form of late (although they had a poor result at the weekend). We could really do with a result tonight. I think we’ll come away with a draw, 1-1. #NUFC

Largely as expected a line up for #NUFC. Eddie avoiding the Barnes or Gordon conundrum by playing them both. Not sure who I’d put on the right. Neither is as effective as when they are on the left. They may swap around as the game goes on.

Second half wasn’t up to the first, had to grind it out. A winning start for Tanya, only three points off the promotion chase now.
A winnable next game, followed by a double-header against the current top two.
December 8, 2025 at 9:31 PM
May be on my own here, but I think that’s not too bad an FA Cup draw. Bournemouth have gone off the boil in recent weeks. Plus, it’s at wor gaff.
Yes, drawing PL when there’s lower league there is annoying & being able to rest virtually everyone would’ve been nice. Should progress though. #NUFC
December 8, 2025 at 8:28 PM
Decent first half from the lasses. Only disappointing aspect is that they are only one goal up.
So far, so good for Tanya. Promising signs of development in their play.
December 8, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Wasn’t pretty, but three points for #NUFC regardless. Will need to be considerably better in the next two games.
Burnley conspired to gift us the game, we almost conspired to give them something back out of nowhere.
December 6, 2025 at 5:26 PM
Interesting selection, need to rotate but does create risk. Should be more than enough to dispatch Burnley, but then we should’ve dispatched Spurs midweek and we didn’t.
Opportunity for Ramsey today get himself in Howe’s thoughts.
And Wissa on the bench!!! FINALLY!! #NUFC
December 6, 2025 at 1:51 PM
To have that option off the bench, plus hopefully to rotate with Nick (or play alongside) is potentially a game changer for us. Fingers crossed he can (finally) hit the ground running.
🇨🇩 Yoane Wissa came through another 11 vs 11 exhibition game today and there is now a good chance that he will be on the bench against Burnley at the weekend, according to Luke Edwards.

A massive boost! 🤩

“Where is the consistency?” “If you give those then there’ll be 20 pens a game”. Make it consistent then - apply the rules.
Every game, ref separates players at a corner, walks away, blows his whistle, then it’s back to a wrestling match with a blind eye turned. It’ll soon stop if pens are given.

Don’t know what’s up with Joelinton at the moment. Gave the ball away so many times. Love the bloke, but he isn’t the imposing force of nature he previously was at the moment. Think Ramsey needs a chance, or just go with the three of Tonali, Bruno and Miley.
December 2, 2025 at 10:47 PM
What a disappointing result, two points thrown away. Much the better team, but there was sloppiness from #NUFC all over.
Calls for Ramsdale to be given a chance were justified, but on this showing Pope will still be number one when he returns.
December 2, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Smart money would suggest a reasonably straightforward win for #NUFC tonight, given the opposition’s current issues, our uptick in league form, plus our home record. They do have some quality though, so no room for complacency. I’m going for 3-1.
December 2, 2025 at 7:19 PM
That’s that winless away PL monkey off our back in style. Some top performances out there tonight. Much more like the #NUFC we love.
As it stands, only three points off CL places with two home games in a row next. Cheered me right up, that has (even if I’m now onto marking books) 😀

Ha! Well done VAR. Nothing is ruining this evening.

Just a perfect away performance. When chances arrive they’ve taken them, they dug in when they needed and some moments of undeniable quality have just blown Everton away. What a response! #NUFC

Wow, wow, wow! Turning into a statement win this.
Malick Thiaw had about 4 senior club goals prior to tonight!

Livramento continues to look like he’s going to have a phenomenal season. We’ve all said how much we’ve missed him/Hall, but the huge difference they make when they are both on the pitch is undeniable.
Great to see Elanga being a threat and providing opportunities. Might be the kickstart he needed.
