25 Nov 1974, UK singer/songwriter Nick Drake died in his sleep aged 26 of a drug overdose. Drake signed to Island Records when he was 20 & released 3 albums. In 2000 VolksWagon featured a Drake track in a TV ad and within a month he sold more records than he had in the previous 30 years. #NickDrake

Sad to hear of the death of #JimmyCliff today. His 1st appearance on Top of the Pops was as a guest in the audience during a Nina Simone performance in 1965. This was after a racist incident with his landlady & his presence on the show made him a local celebrity, resolving his housing issues.

Born 24 Nov 1941, #PeteBest is a British retired musician who was the drummer for the Beatles from 1960 to 1962. He was dismissed shortly before the band achieved worldwide fame and is one of several people referred to as the fifth Beatle. Best has been depicted in many movies about the Beatles.
