Trans rights are human rights, and as a cis guy I support them all the way.

I've got a lot of bad people living rent-free in my head, but that's okay, because I know how much the weird music I play all the time drives them up the wall.

kid rock as porta potties: thread
Kid Rock wearing pink and looking stupid. A porta potty that matches the pink of his ugly ass shirt.

The new Jay Som album - "Belong" - is like a mellow oasis of mellowness in a world that could definitely stand to be a bit more mellow. I'm liking it a lot.

O ja, Santa heeft natuurlijk rendieren. Was ik even vergeten. 😉

Here's the Wikipedia link, but it's in Dutch, so you'll have to run it through translation. But I'm mentioned in the second paragraph. It happened in 1988 and the band was called Brutal Obscenity. I just sat in for one gig, had to learn the entire set in only 4 days.

I told that thrash metal band that, yeah, sure I can stand in for your drummer for one gig. I hadn't played thrash metal ever in my life, but I totally pulled it off, and I don't just say so myself. It also says so on Wikipedia.

Would regularly crank out 10-20 page papers the night before they were due in grad school. STS9 live shows were always the soundtrack to these manic, caffeine fueled writing sessions. The untz will get you there when you need it to.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

I'm afraid I just switched off "Nobody's Girl". I made it to the 9th track - the one that mentions Billy Joel - but too much is too much. Yeah, I get it, it's a breakup record. But is there a law I'm not aware of that prohibits the inclusion of memorable tunes on breakup records?

It's a thing of beauty. Soaring tunes, clean and crisp arrangements and production, yet hazy and shoegazey when it needs to be. Their best work since "Our Hope", I'd say.

YESSS!!! The new Hitsujibungaku album has arrived! I thought it'd be another 2 days...

Putting on headphones now. TTYL.

Maar geen Sunny War want die speelt alleen in Spanje. Op zich slim, in deze tijd van het jaar. Ik zou bijna het vliegtuig pakken...

This is true. And maybe a chicken wire barrier in front of the stage.

How much would you like to bet that "the show" is just a bunch of guys playing instruments in a sort of semicircle? 😉

Wow. Could've sworn it was Dietrich.

Interesting that he uses the phrase "trampled underfoot", a track from "Physical Graffiti", 50 years old this year. 🙂

Oh no, this is embarrassing 🙈 Word has got out about my donation of over €0.99 to the local owl sanctuary. I must have forgotten to tick the “Anonymous” box by accident 🤦‍♂️ Now everyone's hailing me as a hero. Please, everyone, this isn't about me! The staff at the sanctuary have done just as much!

Wow. Very early 1970s psychedelic...

Groovy. I bought this one the other day, haven't played it all the way through yet.

Hi there. Just survived a week of punk rock gigs, so be gentle please... 😉

The reason? I have very little use for sentimental break-up tunes from the American south - Trumpian heartland - in 2025, even if the artists themselves aren't necessarily on that side of the fence. And that's a big if, because most of them keep quiet about it. 2/2

Still getting invitations for upcoming alt-country pre-sales. This time it's Brandy Clark, who's coming to Europe next month. But I've pretty much given up on alt-country by now, save for a few exceptions. 1/2

It really shouldn't come as a surprise anymore, because I've been a fan since the first album. But @divinecomedyhq.bsky.social keep up their not-a-bad-album-in-their-discography winning streak with the new record "Rainy Sunday Afternoon". Good grief, it's good and then some.
