Pure Guava
(1992)
The album that got me hooked on Ween and is still my favorite 30+ years later. It’s bonkers to think this was on a major label. The 90s were wild y’all. This has everything from sublime beauty to the most scotch guard huffing cut up songs. An outsider masterpiece.

Bowmboï
(2004)
Singer/songwriter guitarist from Mali who’s made some really incredible albums. This one might be my favorite of the bunch, but she hasn’t made a dud yet imo.

And yeah, yeah,it holds the challenges. No shit.
Anyway…or don’t do it!
I had fun.

Jelly
(1993)
DDBB playing Jelly Roll Morton compositions. Typically prefer them playing later tunes, but this is still really good.

So, of course, I called experts, spent hours in the Auburn library researching past land use, bought ghost-hunting gear, used the ghost-hunting gear and tried to find out the truth

Monochrome
(2006)
Not the band's strongest effort, but there are a still a few bangers on here like "Swallowing Everything." Still has that signature Helmet thick sound, but maybe lacks that extra oomph give that it's paired down to a trio instead of being a two guitar band.

Spiral Shadow
(2010)
How Savannah became a metal epicenter I’ll never know, but I’m glad it did. Kylesa’s two drummer attack really adds a pounding hypnotic aspect to their music. Two guitars and two lead vocalists. Bass is the only thing they haven’t doubled up on 😂

Broken Hearts and Auto Parts
(2002)
Drivin’ n’ Cryin’ frontman has put out a slew of excellent solo records that trend more towards the folkier end of the spectrum than the hard rock of DNC.

Tonic
(2000)
I miss this band with every fiber of my being. I don’t expect to ever see them again, but I yearn for it all the time. Anyway, this is a live acoustic album from NYC club, Tonic. Would love for them to start an archival series, even if just digitally.
