OTD 1970 Black Sabbath released their self-titled debut album in the UK (it'd be 4 more months until WB released it in the US). One of the most influential records of all-time. Entire genres and sub-genres have spawned from the notes on this album. RIP Ozzy.

OTD 1968 The Jimi Hendrix Experience played the Seattle Center Arena. It was Jimi's first show back in his hometown since 1961.

One this Twin Cities area neighborhood theater's claims to fame was it ran “Harold and Maude” from mid-1972 to June 1974 for 1,957 showings. People showed up to protest in early 1974 lol.

These are the kinda films we lose out on due to Netflix's destruction of dvds & the theatrical window. Risk averse corpo streamers that are obsessed w/serving algo slop don't take risks. Hastings & Sarandos deserve to be in The Hague for their crimes against cinema.
