Meanwhile in the west we are discussing if can use Russias money to support Ukraine, many vote for Russian style authoritarian leaders. What the hell are we doing? Do we want Russia to win? Do we really like that type of government for whom citizens life means nothing?

I love the cope at the end. “We don’t have the expensive EW anymore, otherwise everything is fine.”

Let’s throw Hungary out instead. Regardless of what Hungary spends, it is against NATO and for Russia.

“..his track record as a peacemaker in the world's largest ongoing war remains questionable.” This is generous. Ineffective, unjust, one-sided, corrupt, Russian asset are words that describe him better.

Trumps case for anything is fundamentally shaky. Doesn’t seem to bother him to much. And doesn’t seem to help stopping him either.

Thanks for the all caps reply :) The Chech republic has been staunch allies to Ukraine. This makes it the more disappointing that a Russia friendly billionaire is elected as president. We can only hope that the ammunition initiative continues.

Superpower or not, with the size of EU economy, or NATO members economy if you prefer, we should have been able swamp Ukraine with weapons. Far out producing Russia or it allies.

More embarrassing for us. North Korea has a population of 26 million and a GDP of 32 billion USD. Yet they supply 50 % of Russias Ammunition. EU has a population of 450 million and a GDP of 19 trillion. So why can’t we out-produce Russia and its allies.

So, It turns out that a strongly worded statement is no good in a knife fight.

That’s true there are some sunny spots. The authoritarian undercurrents in the west are worrying though.
stoedukraina.bsky.social
That’s worrying since we have all all these billionaires that made their money in a free and open society and now seem to want to shut the door for others.

And despite the enormous success of American companies and economy, Trump managed to convince the American people that friendly nations really just ripping them off. Mind boggling!

Unfortunately your president disagrees. Many leaders around the world disagrees. The worst thing is that the people voting for Trump, Fico, Orban and latest Babiš disagrees. It seems in the west choose the world we want. Tragically we don’t want rule of law democracy and freedom

Imagine if Russia wins, not because they are militarily stronger, smarter or bolder than Ukraine, but because Ukraine has the dumbest allies. I am depressed!

If Ukraine goes bankrupt and loses the war,
It will be a cold comfort to say - At least we did everything in our power to protect Russian money. Those funds can then be used to attack us.

Ukraine is stepping up, providing security guarantees to the EU and will close the sky for hostile aircraft.

🚨 Ukraine is becoming European security guarantor
Denmark: Ukrainian military has been tasked with protecting this week's EU summit in Copenhagen from Russian drones.
The emergency summit was called by von der Leyen because Europe can no longer rely on NATO for its security.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen — a former German defense minister, sure seems to think that NATO is dead.
She is holding a summit on Wednesday to begin militarization of the European Union as an institution.

Maybe now it’s clear to all that support for Ukraine is not optional, It is the only partnership that can fill the void left by the US.

I hope Ukraine will be a more reliable and effective ally to Europe than Europe is to Ukraine.

That’s Russia for you, complete double speak.

Trade Hungary for occupied Ukrainian territories. It’s a win win according to Orbans logic.
stoedukraina.bsky.social
Here’s a deal no one can refuse. Russia gets Hungary who is reluctant NATO and EU member in exchange for peace and Ukraine joining NATO and EU if they like. Everyone’s happy.

Would they also benefit from Russkiy Mir? Sometimes short term pain is worth it.
