(Hi, I'm Diana. I RP several characters in #FFXIV. My main is a snarky, Geordie-Slang speaking, genderfluid Drow (yes, Drow) named Sha'dow Weaver. They're a Storm Captain with the Maelstrom, AGGRESSIVELY polyamorous, afflicted with the Spellplague AND Aether Sickness, and main RDM/MCH/DRK.⤵️

Sha'dow, a genderfluid Drow with charcoal skin and windswept looking white shoulder length hair parted on the left, white goatee and mustache trimmed in the Van Dyke style. They have a blind right eye with a white tattoo looking scar running over it, and a gray left eye. They're wearing purple earrings, a gold monocle, a black dinner jacket, lilac cardigan, and black button up shirt. They're in a Limsa Lominsan room, their hands in a heart-shape in front of them, actual pink hearts radiating out from them. You can see a bed and a writing desk behind them, as well as an entire wall made out of windows

(Sha'dow is virtually immune to all things spicy, and thinks "the spicier the better."

(Light aether screwed Sha'dow up too. Them being Drow, you can imagine how painful it was for them--and made worse by the fact they didn't KNOW they were Drow (amnesia), so... That one hits close to home for my Blorbo🫂)

Dark Sun is my favorite setting. I love everything about Athas, the grimdark nature of it, the sword and sorcery, the barbarism. It's not your average D&D.

It's very fun. Very dark. Very difficult.

(Okay, so TBF, was also the DM's first time DMing. And the THAT GUY had really, REALLY been pushing their buttons. Like, A LOT. So dude threw a Tyrstorm at us. At level 2. I don't know how much you know about Dark Sun, but uh...

(Oh, Sha'dow is very much "If it bleeds we can kill it!" too, worships no god higher than themselves (with the exception of Vivec, and the Archangel Elspeth. If duty is worship, they'll kneel through the pain!), and yeah, been playing them nearly 16 years now! (Note I said D&D game, not TTRPG game🥰)

INSANELY long story of how my blorbo came to be.

And yes, every game, every event, every detail from everything that's ever happened to them along the way is canon to them. So Sha'dow is very much still Drow (hence the name), and yes, they HAVE been in an Athas game!🥰

yes?), and over the many, many years I've played him across many, many games, he's eventually become the single most beloved character I have-eventually landing in Etheirys, and becoming Sha'dow Weaver, and, the most recent revelation, genderfluid, as of 7.3 using they/them pronouns.

on the Henderson Scale of Plot Derailment. I created a Drow Bard, and named him Feltersnatch the Vigorous. I never got to play him that game. When I finally did get to play him, things got toned down, his name got retconned to Filtar Stricyx (you can see how that'd get corrupted to Feltersnatch,⤵️

TPK, I learned of a Hero of Legend, the DM's worst nightmare, and every player's dream, Old Man Henderson. So I set out to make a backup character as a joke/threat to prevent the DM from trying a TPK because of a THAT GUY ever again, and made him based off of Old Man Henderson, but made him a 2.0 ⤵️

(So I was in a Dark Sun (yes, THAT Dark Sun) campaign, and the DM went for a TPK because of a THAT GUY, and it being my first D&D game, I'm like "Hey, I put a lot of work into this character, I don't think I like this very much!" So over the course of the next week, since we narrowly avoided the ⤵️

as a child, and as such has one blue eye now. While not permanently blind in that eye, she does have lessened vision in that eye.

(And yes, the Etheirysian diseases listed are actual ones found in the game either currently or back in 1.0!🧵))

Kaelith has had the pox (essentially Eorzea's Measles), but otherwise is healthy.

Mirri had Corprus, and subsequently died. Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff brought her back.

Kinzie refuses to answer any questions about her health, quoth she: "I ain't talking to a fed."
