Introducing "The Cloudigan". Saw this Lion Brand gradient yarn and had to free hand this look. Used it to feature a "Ploof" Storytime (wonderful mindfullness themed picture book by Ben Clanton and Andy Chou Musser)

Trump’s trying to gut funding for libraries: you can fight back with ALA.

The President's executive order to dismantle the Institute of Museum & Library Services would be deeply harmful. We need to speak out.

Take action NOW: tell Congress to protect library funding.

The White House is pushing schools to monitor and report international students and faculty for their political views — but that's not how free speech works.

Add your name to urge universities to reject censorship from the Trump administration.
Tell Universities: Protect free speech on campus
The ACLU is calling on universities to reject the Trump administration’s egregious overreach and to defend the rights of students and faculty. Add your name.

Libraries are not neutral! I’ve been tailoring all of my Storytimes around timely themes like diversity, dangers of capitalism and hoarding wealth- today was the importance of NOAA. And the grownups are digging it! We protect our communities and put their needs first.

I'm a public librarian and some staff are asking themselves whether we can have Black History Month or Women's History Month displays. This is the time we live in. My answer: I'm not self-censoring or obeying in advance. You? #Libraries #DEI

Crocheted a few items for my kid's Lunar New Year Advent Calendar. This little lantern brought us some joy as we think of the resilience the #YearOfTheSnake will bring.

新年快乐! Xīn nián kuài lè! Happy year of the snake! I love the Chinese zodiac. This is a mythology that I grew up with, knowing the stories like the back of my hand. Let me know if you want more zodiac info.

(Pt 2). I'm raising my kid to be confident and resilient so that she can grow up knowing how to defeat the battles of tomorrow. I can't change the world enough, but I can foster her strength to live in it.

Posting because I think someone else may need this today.

(Pt 1) As we proceed in these dark times, all I can think about is how people kept telling me, "I'm so sorry you are raising a daughter during this time".

No, I'll never be sorry for raising a daughter. There was never a good time to be a women, Asian, [insert diversity here].

Had a dream that I fell in the middle of the ocean, swam onto a random boat and was stuck in a fishing pool with 2 large yellow snakes. Fought off the snakes with only a few bites on my legs and made it up a ladder before waking up. This feels like a very bad omen 😨
