The halftime show was "different/interesting". I didn't understand it and I didn't especially connect with the music.
But, I enjoy seeing new things and stretching myself. I was certainly not offended in any way.

I tried watching Star Trek Discovery (seasons 1-3) in advance of watching Star Trek Starfleet Academy.
Discovery is just bad. I'm very surprised this lasted 5 seasons.
