I realize now that the Prologue, released on Halloween, was set during the Fall, and the final Act released the first week of it snowing where I live even though it typically doesn't snow much here

My least favorite way to run an action scene in ttrpg is the following scenario:
- The whole 4-6 player party
- 1 big bad guy with a stacked stat block
- One objective: Last team standing
I still gotta run it sometimes, but that's so few things to engage with for so many players

Taking a year long break from doing horror stuff made me so excited to get back to horror, starting with the editing process of Blood in the Snow. I feel like I've improved so much as a storyteller by taking a year away from my beloved creature features and mystery-thrillers, out of my comfort zone

World building isn't just lore, it's atmosphere! The people who painted the blaster marks on the walls of the Mos Eisley Cantina did just as much world building as anyone working on the script to a Star Wars project featuring it. They conveyed the dangerous history without exposition packed dialogue

The thing i enjoy about @gilarpgs.bsky.social Lumen Systems Approaches (both in 1.0 and the diceless 2.0) is framing problems through how you behave rather than how strong/fast/smart you are. You can be a skinny tech nerd and still choose to be bold/reckless in your actions and that's versatile!
