More snow is falling and we have 550 pieces of equipment out now treating and clearing Boston’s streets.

Teams will be working day and night to plow and remove snow. Give them space to work safely.

Please shovel your sidewalk before Sunday's freeze and lend a hand to neighbors in need of help.

With 3-5 inches of snow in the forecast, Public Works crews and contractors are loading up with salt to treat roadways.

Heavy bands of snow are expected at times, so please take your time if traveling and stay safe.

Over a six-day period, Public Works crews and contractors working around the clock have removed thousands of loads of snow, totaling 89,000 cubic yards, from our streets.

The snow is transported to 11 snow farms across Boston.

Our teams have maintained 24/7 operations to restore neighborhood access and ensure the City remains mobile.

THANK YOU to everyone in Boston who has helped by clearing sidewalks, hydrants, and ramps. Recovering from a storm of this magnitude requires a collective citywide effort.
Boston saw 23 inches of snowfall this week and so far our Public Works personnel and contractors have removed more than 35,000 cubic yards of snow from city streets to our snow farms.

Traffic Advisory: Cambridge Street westbound is closed from Staniford Street to Bowdoin Street. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. See below from @police.boston.gov:
Traffic Advisory: Due to a manhole fire earlier today, motorists are strongly advised to avoid Cambridge Street, Staniford Street, Blossom Street, O’Connell Way, and the area of the Longfellow Bridge near Coolidge Square until further notice. Traffic may be impacted this evening due to the Celtics.

Property owners are required to clear a 42-inch path of travel on their sidewalks. Code Enforcement has recorded 839 violations so far.

Public Works snow removal continues around the clock!

Overnight, crews and contractors delivered 846 truckloads to snow farms across Boston.

Today, district yard personnel were widening roads and clearing intersections + curb ramps to keep travel safe and accessible.
