Huel is different from other meal replacements in that it is pea-based, instead of soy-based. It is different from soylent in that the powered form is available and soylent hasn't for the past year. I find it kind of clumpy, but we don't drink this because it is enjoyable.

"Will you take off $50?"
"Sure."
"OK, just checking. Bye!"

I want a channel. like this for synth restoration.

Maybe you're thinking of Poe?

I loved that location and E.U. Wurlitzer had the strongest synth selection of the stores in the area (La Salle (early 90s) and Daddy's). You could also hit five record stores in the surrounding area on foot.

I asked AI why my electric bill was going up, and apparently there are a lot of factors. It could be seasonal changes to vampire loads in my house. Anything, really. Difficult to pin down to any specific thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Over a decade teaching and I finally have a student from Iowa.

They believe that what we call AI is AI. It's not.

They also believe AI will lead to AGI or super intelligence. It won't.

This is one reason why AI is a bubble: all this money is flowing around in a circle. It is a mirage.

I don't understand why AI people keep insisting, "if we can't steal your work, our industry will die" as if this were a compelling argument.

It reveals the very rotten core of your soul if you don't understand how foolish this makes you look.

Well, that's the way *I* pronounced it.

Remember when the RIAA forced the industry to adopt SCMS copy protection on the digital I/O of DAT machines because they were absolutely terrified someone might make a digital copy of a CD? Do you remember when everyone was trading DAT tapes of pirated music? Yeah, me neither.

John Carpender claimed it was always envisioned as an anthology. Halloween II was reluctantly made as a sequel because of studio pressure. Halloween III bombed.

We're still using the same zojirushi for more than 25 years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did you know you can make steel cut oats in your rice cooker using porridge mode?

Did you also know you can substitute water for apple cider?

Sir, we've identified the problem.
You're trying to sleep standing up.
An employee wearing a very official-looking white coat is doing high-tech stuff to figure out exactly how much money a customer is willing to spend on a mattress. A man leans against something that looks like a window shade. He is smiling and clearly impressed at all the science stuff.

Not to nitpick, but I'm pretty sure that's not how cats wear headphones.

My students, who are required to laugh at my jokes, think I am very funny.

Yeah, it was murky. Very dark sounding. I'm also sure I had no idea what I was doing, so that probably didn't help.
stretta.bsky.social
Yeah, it was pretty, and well thought out. I really liked that era of Tascam.

I have multitrack cassete tapes in storage in the basement striped with SMPTE. Madness.

I forgot about the battery pack, OMG.

This is a Tascam 688 8-track. I did not own one of these, but I lived with someone who did. I used it every chance I could. It sounded terrible. I loved it.
