Should I write a book?

It is no fucking good whatsoever having a school library and not a librarian. Without skilled, experienced, knowledgeable staff to curate collections and engage the kids with the stock, a "library" is just a room full of books. And the same goes for public libraries too.

@louiestowell.bsky.social
"The first-ever report of [New York City] public school library data was released last month. Across 1,614 public schools, 1,016 have a library. Yet, there were only 273 full-time librarians & 12 part-time librarians."

That's under 15% of libraries w/a librarian.

Less than 15% of NYC schools have a librarian. Is your child’s school one of them?
Advocates say librarians are essential for students, but NYC schools don’t have enough librarians.

To be fair, the Government is big enough that it would be very easily found elsewhere online if they left X.
In the spirit of brotherly love, could I gently enquire why the almighty **** are government departments, government ministers and Labour MPs *STILL* using X?

I’m absolutely convinced he’s obsessed with Greenland because it looks huge on a map & he doesn’t understand how the Mercator projection works.

Trump just said “We’re going to do something with Greenland whether they like it or not”

Dear @willstonemp.bsky.social as my MP perhaps you could support Max Wilkinson's request to restrict X. It is, as he says, sickening.
I’m calling on Ofcom to restrict UK access to Elon Musk’s X until the platform puts an end to the production of sickening abusive AI images. A line has been crossed & it’s time for the regulator to show it has some teeth. Honestly, I can’t believe the government hasn’t acted. It beggars belief.

A perfect clip. No notes.
It’s 36 years since a Swansea fan invaded the pitch (and scored) at Anfield in the FA Cup.

So much to enjoy here:

- The shoes
- The denim
- The melodic slow-mo
- And then the steward’s slide tackle that finally sends him sprawling

This is CINEMA.

Understandably there are lots of talking heads about Bowie in recent days, but not a single documentary crew has turned up at mine to talk about that time I switched the radio on in 1987 and realised I'd tuned in 2 hrs late for the Glass Spider tour concert.

Tim Walz quotes Orwell's "1984." For perspective on this moment, I would recommend watching "Orwell: 2+2=5," directed by Raoul Peck.
Walz: "I couldn't help but think, and it scares me a bit -- 'The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most important directive.' It certainly feels like that in this moment."

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.
