Finalising 1000 details for www.watts-next.eu tomorrow and we are so overbooked. I knew electrification is big but how incredibly gratifying and exciting to see so many people interested in the event.
We are going to have fun!

Labour are committed to getting some money back. But I want to see measures put in place to stop corruption in our future Governments. Tax Payers should be protected from incompetence and wilful theft from people in power.

Proud to support a Party who are making serious inroads into child poverty. Who gave us Hillsborough Law. Who protect the rights of renters and workers. Who help families with childcare and who are raising the Minimum wage yet again.

They’re worried about Starmer. He’s a winner

Some incredibly positive signals here from the Netherlands. Read the full thread. My favourite priorities: Grid congestion, industrial electrification, offshore wind, home insulation and district heating, keeping gas fields closed. Great combination.
The two core parties for a new Dutch government coalition @cda.nl and @d66.nl have agreed on an agenda; they will now invite other parties to join in.
Some of their points on energy and climate in this thread!

Douglas Alexander just called out Andrew Marr live on air. About the ‘black hole’. Rachel Reeves never said it. The media said it.

I’m used to reading rubbish on here. But now I’m reading outright lies.

The anger around this budget, Reeves and Starmer is coming out of everyone who can influence a thought. Radio, TV, media.

I’m not going to let it go without a challenge.

I want Labour to succeed.

I see all the headlines today refer to ‘Benefit Street’

What they don’t tell you is 60% of those on benefits are in work.

No outcry on those employers not paying enough or concocting hours to enable people to claim UC.

First it was immigrants. Now it’s those on benefits.

We're three weeks shy of the 5th anniversary of my hydrogen ladder being published. Back then, there wasn't a lot of clarity where H2 might fit and the ladder was designed to direct efforts to feedstocks, ammonia, etc.

There is no excuse for this waste today.
German taxpayers are handing BMW €273m to once again attempt to push hydrogen-powered cars, when battery prices have once again dropped >50% in the past ~18 month and CATL is on its 5th-gen LFP battery.

CATL, BYD et al must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Sigh.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
