Where Shadows Meet the Living captures the moment where two worlds touch — the illuminated and the obscured, the conscious and the forgotten. A skull emerges at the seam between light and darkness, not as a symbol of death, but of what lingers: history, grief, memory, the truths we turn away from until they shape us. The composition draws the eye along a stark vertical divide — one half bleached and raw, the other swallowed in layered blacks. This boundary is not clean; it fractures and bleeds, as though reality itself is dissolving into a haze of charcoal and smoke. The skull appears mid-transition, formed by spreading shadows and splintered texture, suggesting that identity, too, is something we continually shed and reclaim. This piece is not about endings.
