His daughter, Yolanda, stood w/Soulforce at the 2000 Methodist Convention in Cleveland. Took my 16-yr-old daughter w/me to participate. There were so many heroes of the civil rights era who stood with our LGBT brothers & sisters as they did with MLK. It was an honor to stand with them.
I shared this with a friend earlier who had met Bernice King. It made me think of another daughter, Yolanda, and many of the people who stood with MLK. It truly was an honor standing w/them. #MLK
