Hey, guys! I'm Sugarp1e1!

Well, that's my nickname. My full name is Yamata Noroi!

Like Yamata no Orochi? Check the heads, huh?

This is my brand new avatar!
Are people suspecting that Astra is Zayne's split personality or something? Not sure why that would be the case though.
I found it! There's many versions of the same folktale, but these are the versions I could find that involve birds.

Somehow, a series of events leads to a shitty NES game being made based on one of the many adaptations of the original story. Then the AVGN starts a successful YouTube career by bashing it.

Some wild stuff.

The original story presumably is about how repressing your negative emotions with no healthy outlets will make you into a worse person. Mr Hyde was just what Jekyll was always like on the inside.

The story was told from the perspective of a 3rd party who is trying to learn about Mr Hyde and learns at the end of the story that he and Jekyll are the same person.

There's one other element that was cut from the other tellings, there is no split personality. Jekyll was always awful deep down.

So I was today years old when I learned that Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is one of the few old horror stories that has rarely, if ever, been adapted faithfully.
. @cyberspacemaz.bsky.social when she posts a LADS theory and I show up in her replies. XD
Hmmm. What does "tomorrow" refer to then?

Is TC-22 the next loop after the present day but before the Myths? If so, do the multiple endings imply that the loops continue even *if* MC and the LIs get their happy ending?

Astra's the prime suspect for the cycle. It won't end until they're dealt with.
Before I properly fell down the rabbit hole, my first exposure to LADS was the promotion for TC-22 on Twitter. I could never forget the image of Zayne unbuckling his chest belt with his pecs. XD

Nowadays though, I'm just wondering what the title is referring to. What's the catch-22?
I think everything above his collarbone is sensitive. In Intimacy Game, he retaliates against MC for putting sunscreen on his face, and in Lost Oasis, he pulls his head away when MC tickles his ear.
Hell, in Tomorrow’s Catch 22, he's the only LI who bites MC's neck in the Kindled. All the other boys go for the face.
There's also this moment in Magnum Opus, but this could just be Sylus teasing MC about them being former enemies. I just can't help but notice all the times Sylus seems to fixate on the neck, from biting MC when getting intimate, to marking her in Beyond Cloudfall, to the above, and this.
It reminds me of that Japanese myth where a bird spirit (a heron, I think?) disguised herself as a woman and expressed her gratitude to the man who saved her by making him robes out of her own feathers. I think the myth ends with her doing this so many times that she flies away and never comes back.
I saw somebody speculate that her throat was slit and the placement of Sylus' hand when he holds her was him remembering that moment. If so, I imagine that the kiss "projecting his feelings" was him doing what he wish he could've done with MC before she died in that lifetime.
If 6th LI is sick (and presumably terminal), I'm suspecting that the time loop for the present day is meant to end with all of the LIs dying in some way. No idea if MC will though, but if she lives, it sounds like the perfect catalyst for her to become a Wanderer powerful enough to destroy Earth.
Xavier + Zayne + Rafayel = MC *must* to be sacrificed, either for the good of the many or for the sake of her beloved.

Sylus + Caleb + 6th LI = Their love is forbidden by outside forces and it leads to either or both of their deaths.
Most of the Myths so far seem to have fate decide that either MC, the LI, or both *have* to die for whatever reason. I'm thinking this is Astra trying to break them down into believing you can't fight fate by forcing them to relive the death of their beloved over and over again in a vicious cycle.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how often does the main conflict in a Digimon series or game happen within the Human World vs the Digital World? Or both?
In Beyond Cloudfall, when Sylus' backstory was revealed, I think there was mention of some kind of energy or mist emerging from the bodies of the humans he killed, swirling around his horns and tail, and entering his chest. I always figured that was how he got the crystal and markings on his chest.
The end of Beyond Cloudfall has MC repeatedly being struck by lightning as punishment. Maybe it was a reminder from Astra of how she lost her divinity?

This directly supports my thoughts on the 6th LI’s evol. This is NOT how I came to those conclusions though so I’m freaking out I might be onto something 😭 Thanks to @sugarp1e1.bsky.social for telling me about the Yaoguai!

Love it when the Pepe Silvia meme starts pay off & I look less crazy 😅
I thought of a fox spirit for 6th LI. No real reason except for the existence of Yaoguai in Chinese myth and the *one* mention of a fox spirit in Gem Affection. XD
I think 6th LI might get black feathers too, just to even out the colors between white, gold, and black. If he gets white or gold though, it would definitely suggest Sylus stands out among them somehow.
