also kinda related but calling your fictional government department 'aberational affairs' feels... odd, to this Australian, especially when your characters sometimes say the name quickly in the story.
(too close to 'Aboriginal', for those of you outside of Oz)
I deslike the way some US trgions use 'drug' as the past-tense of 'drag' instead of 'dragged'. I'm usually pretty cool with Americanizations of English, but this one, for some reason, is my hill to die on. Or maybe it's just because my neck pain is really bad today, who can say. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One of the things I always find telling is the idea that we have to judge past people by the standards of their time, as if the fact that they did bad things means that everyone thought it was okay. They didn't. Pretty much every obviously evil act had people saying that it was, in fact, bad.
my hot take is some of y'all need to stop only reading comics. read prose, go to a museum, learn scrimshaw, wtfever. go be an interesting person first because i can TELL when people don't ingest anythiinnggg else but comics
ahh yes, the third party who does their customer service tickets appears to be the vulnerability. who could have possibly predicted this, with all the third-party hacks we've seen around the world lately.
If you wanna see something good that doesn't waste a single minute of its 2 hour and 14 minute runtime, go watch Exhuma. Fucking banger of a movie, I've thought about it every day since I watched it.
Weapons had a really good movie in there somewhere, but it desperately needed a WAY more ruthless editor. Felt like Zach Cregger was too close to that editing suite & the released film unfortunately suffered a lot because of it.
I know plenty of ppl in the US know this, but it's one of those little places that often gets overlooked by anyone far enough away from it that they don't need to care or know.
