Happy St Katherine's Day to all scholars, librarians, and Katherines. May you win an argument against an annoying man today, in the true spirit of Katherine herself.

I've had to type "Guernsey" a lot today. Why isn't it getting easier to spell?

There isn't a word for frontispiece but at the back, is there? It feels like there should be a quicker way of referencing "plate bound at end of volume" but I don't think there is.

Last night I had an adventure, heading off to preach at Deanery service in Kenley.I did get rather lost walking from the station (country lane, no lights, no signal) but had a lovely time on arrival
Also loved the on screen typo "Hail thee as our MATHLESS King".
Knew God was on my side there 😀

Put the alarm on. The earliest I've woken since last Monday is 10, and I've been sleeping about 12-16 hours a night. Tomorrow is going to be a shock.

Unaccountable lack of gifs from Norman Wisdom vehicle "Just My Luck" so I can't play, even though it's shows the hospital I was born in.

Was looking for a new admin job but there was a glitch in the job website which kept showing me library jobs. I thought it wasn't a bad idea.

Today is Stir-up Sunday - the day people traditionally make Christmas puddings.

The name comes from the collect for the day in the Book of Common Prayer: “Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people...”

Are you making a pudding today?

Went out for a breath of fresh air, and now absolutely shattered. I think this mild cold is going to be one of those that inexplicably takes ages to get over. Boo.
