I have ended up with a spare ticket for Saturday's matinee of HMS Pinafore by the ENO. My friend who was supposed to be coming with me has had to cancel and I literally can't think of anyone else I know who doesn't hate Gilbert & Sullivan.

Just come across a job description and person specification for my role dating from 1710. According to Humfrey Wanley I should be a 'Man of Eminency, Abilities, Activity, Industry, Candor, & Integrity'. Definitely fail in one of these points.
