Drawn last week, when I wasn’t doing that well. For anyone who is struggling a bit, for whatever reason. It’s OK to have days when we just get by.

Tyrrel & Green (John Lewis) restaurant in Southampton. It had silver teapots and waitress service, and it was where I first tasted Earl Grey tea.
Sunday night timeline cleanse

please tell me about your favorite lost restaurant (closed for at least 5 years, like I really want you to go back into the vault), why you loved it and what you ate there

The excessive amount of sleeping I've been doing with this cold has caught up with me and I'm very awake and very bored.
Stay tuned for further exciting updates.

Do I have a terrible headache because I'm ill or do I have a terrible headache because I've barely moved all day and had no fresh air?

wikipedia turns 25 today! the last unenshittified major website! backbone of online info! triumph of humanity! powered by urge of unpaid randos to correct each other! somehow mostly reliable! "good thing wikipedia works in practice, because it sure doesn't work in theory" - old wiki adage

Wondered why the litter tray was so horrifically pungent this morning but then I found chocolatey cup cake cases had been removed from the bin and thoroughly licked and nibbled.

I (MA LIS, PgDip Arch) am the living embodiment of this unity. Indeed, as a veritable Trinity I am also a qualified secretary. Bow down and worship 🙌
The Rare Books Room and Manuscripts Room have united; proof that ecumenism works, and that real, visible, institutional unity is possible even between librarians and archivists 📚
There is now a combined Special Collections Reading Room for manuscripts and archives at the UL.

Made some melting-middle chocolate cupcakes by accident. I won't lie to you:
a) They taste amazing
b) I don't think the pale yellow top I was wearing will ever recover from the middles melting

The rivers I get to choose between are the Peck (mostly underground, then joins London sewerage system before joining the Thames), or the Lavant (only flows in winter, and sometimes not even then). I might just pretend it's Old Father Thames.

I’ve moved to an area where the local church bell ringing practice coincides with bin night. It’s a lovely accompaniment to rolling the wheelie bins out, *and* a brilliant reminder if you forget. An ecclesiastical When Is Bins alert for the community.

Maybe churches should be doing more of that.

Then someone spoke to me in the locker room in the BL (he directed me to an empty locker which actually worked) and I forgot to get my phone out of my pocket in my haste to depart.
