Former game journalist, current game podcaster. Also a very good marketer, but that’s not for games. I watch a lot of TV. Fix your hearts or die.

She/her
The Big Lebowski. I haaaaaaaaate that film. Like, cue the Clue gif, that's how much I hate that movie.
Never mind movies you’ve watched multiple times, name a movie you’ve watched once and would never watch again.

The general idea (in other words, the prompt) isn't bad! But the lyrics don't work (you flee from the cheer? not to mention the meter is off) and the animation looks terrible. So...try again, just with humans this time.
McDonald's has released an AI-generated Christmas ad

The studio behind it says they 'hardly slept' for several weeks while writing AI prompts and refining the shots — 'AI didn't make this film. We did'

Ok, so, once more:

If you can count it, it's "fewer".

If you can't, it's "less."

Example:

"I need fewer apples to finish this recipe than I thought."

BUT

"I have less patience than I used to."

First of all, "fewer."

Secondly, is the "woman's" portion going to be a lower price? No? Then fuck allllllllll the way off.

I mean, fuck off anyway, but.

Woke up having a panic attack last night and was brought back down to safety by the sound of this little idiot snoring next to me.

Spent the day playing Winter Barrow, a cozy game about a wee mousie repairing his childhood home. It’s sweet and casual and the art is lovely. Wonderful for a snow day.

I think it would be fun if writers who love language started intentionally writing more strangely as AI flattens written "content" into a mono-voice. it would cool I think if writers responded by focusing their individual efforts on cultivating a really unique voice that's hard to copy

Film you’ve seen more than six times. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel.

Also, quick reminder:

I tried the final boss fight of Outer Worlds 2 last night maybe 6 times and was literally screaming in frustration.

Tried it again this morning with a clear heart, did it in one.

Put things aside when you’re not in the right mental place for them.

Roll credits on Outer Worlds 2. I have issues with some of the mechanics, but the characters, story, and choices are outstanding. So it’s an Obsidian game, is what I’m saying.

But not super buggy! Just want to be clear about that. I encountered one quest marker that didn’t clear, that’s all.

What I love about the game show Press Your Luck is that the Whammys looked like that - which is to say shitty, poorly animated doodles - originally because they had no budget or technology. And now they still look like that because that’s what people want and expect.

Absolutely love it.

Watching TV/movie reaction videos is so bleak, man. A reminder to whoever needs to hear it that being unable to pick up on context clues or understand subtext is not the same thing as a plot twist.

Wow, this sounds really neat. The tension of exploration vs heatstroke is interesting! I imagine I will die a lot.

Hello Sunshine is an impressive step up from the usual post-apocalypse survival RPG formula, playing with some clever ideas around scorching sunlight, blissful shade, and the cycle of day and night.

A movie with Chris Evans, Cillian Murphy, and Michelle Yeoh and none of you watched it.

(Ok, some of you watched it. But not enough.)

Been thinking a lot about Expedition 33 this week, and you know, while a certain plot point made me so angry I nearly stopped playing the game (I did genuinely get up and leave the room for a while), in retrospect...good lord, how *brave* was that? Great storytelling, but not safe at ALL.

I wish I hadn’t missed the chance to play the demo because I need to know if I’m still really bad at Lumines.

Because LOOK AT IT. I want it SO BAD.
It's official—Lumines Arise is one of the best games of the year. 🏆 Sure to be in the mix in your GOTY discussions. But, don't just take our word for it...

Stop spending money on more crap you don't need. You've got enough water bottles, Samantha, you don't need another one. Because, no, you don't "need a little treat."
